The 6 Days Masai Mara Migration Photo Safari takes place in Masai Mara National Reserve from the month of August to early October. The principle players are the wildebeests accompanied by Thompson gazelles, Zebras and elands. Also following on the trails are predators such as lions, hyenas, leopards, cheetahs and other small predators. The Maasai Mara is perhaps the crown jewel, where the drama of the natural world plays out on an epic scale. During the annual wildebeest Migration, millions of wildebeest and zebras thunder across the plains, risking crocodile-filled rivers and predator-stalked grasslands. It’s a spectacle that silences even the most seasoned traveler—a reminder of how small we are in the face of such raw, living beauty.
Once they arrive on the grasslands of Masai Mara, the wildebeests spend several months feeding and fattening, taking advantage of the large amount of green pasture and rains. On this 6 Days Masai Mara Migration Photo Safari you’ll also have the chance to follow predators who at this time will be having a field day, though they are sometimes unable to follow the moving herds very far. You will also witness the spectacular natural show as the wildebeests cross the crocodile infested Mara River, with some getting injured in the stampede while the not so lucky ones getting drowned by the gigantic Nile crocodiles.
This safari tour package is mostly during the annual wildebeest migration and particularly suitable for wildlife photographers or anyone who loves nature.
