6 Days Rhino Conservation Safari – Nairobi / Nyeri / Solio Ranch / Aberdare National Park / Ol Pejeta Conservancy / Nairobi
This 6 days rhino conservation safari is dedicated to exploring one of the most successful rhino conservancies in Kenya. Solio ranch is home to more than 250 white rhinos and about 80 black rhinos live here. In addition, there is a diversity of species that results from the different habitats in the park. Open steppes, bush savannahs, acacia forests and swamps not only house more than 100 lions, but also buffalo herds, waterbuck, giraffes, impala herds and a unique bird life. Thus, this park offers ideal opportunities for nature lovers and photographers. During this safari, we also visit the Aberdare Mountains, where the rare giant forest hog lives. Other highlights include a walk with a wild giraffe herd and a safari in the Ol Pejeta Conservancy which is home to the last two surviving Northern white rhino females.
Arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport where you’ll be met by your Arrow Adventures representative and after a brief meet and greet, drive you to your hotel in Nairobi where you will relax in preparation for your adventure.

Early Morning
This 6 days rhino conservation safari is dedicated to exploring one of the most successful rhino conservancies in Kenya. This safari tour mainly focusses on successful rhino conservancies.
After breakfast and a short brief by the Arrow Adventures safari guide, you’ll embark on your safari heading to the central highlands of Kenya. You’ll enjoy the landscape along the way as you drive through pineapple plantations to coffee and tea farms. On a clear morning you will also be lucky to sight the snow-capped Mt. Kenya, the second highest mountain in Africa. Arrive in good time for your lunch after which you’ll enjoy an afternoon bird walk as you marvel at the wildlife around.

The privately managed conservation reserve has been dedicated to protecting white and black rhinos for decades. Solio ranch is home to more than 250 white rhinos and about 80 black rhinos live here, more than 100 lions, also buffalo herds, waterbuck, giraffes, impala herds and a unique bird life. In addition, there is a diversity of species that results from the different habitats in the park. On a full day safari you will be able discover a wide variety of wildlife. On this day we take you to the mountain side forest of the Aberdare National park. The park boasts of a thick rain forest, spectacular waterfall and you’ll also marvel at the moorland high up the mountain. You will also be lucky to elephants feeding in the bushes. It is not easy to find, but it is even more impressive if you spot an African giant forest hog in the thicket. You will have an opportunity to walk down the trails to catch a closer glimpse of the waterfalls. If you are lucky you will also see rhinos and a leopard.

After breakfast you’ll check out and proceed on a short drive to Ol pejeta Conservancy– the home of the last two surviving Northern white rhinos. In addition to the rhinoceros conservation project, there is also a project on chimpanzees here. Enjoy a gamed drive as you head to your camp. After lunch you relax till latter in the afternoon when you set out for you game drive to discover the chimpanzees in their sanctuary. If you’re lucky, you’ll see other members of the Big Five today. Set out early to search for the early risers and also predators as they head to retire to escape the heat of the day. You will have the chance to visit the boma and have a talk with conservationists and caregivers of the only remaining Northern white rhinos. After a sumptuous breakfast you’ll bid farewell to the camp staff and proceed back to Nairobi.
